Legal Counsel

Overview: We are in search of a skilled Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team in Amman, Jordan. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in corporate law, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively are vital for this role. Fluency in both English and Arabic (written and verbal) is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Governance and Contracts:
- Provide legal advice and support on corporate governance, including contract drafting, negotiation, and review.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations relevant to the company's operations, encompassing data privacy, intellectual property, and employment law.
Policy Development and Implementation:
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to mitigate legal risk and ensure compliance.
Corporate Transactions:
- Participate in due diligence activities for corporate transactions, mergers, and acquisitions.
Dispute Resolution and Litigation:
- Handle legal disputes, litigation, and regulatory inquiries, collaborating closely with external counsel as needed.
Legal Research and Training:
- Conduct legal research and analysis to stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on legal matters and company policies.

Requirements:

Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Law; Master's degree or equivalent preferred.
- Admission to the Jordanian Bar Association or equivalent qualification.
Professional Experience:
- Proven experience as a legal counsel or in a similar legal role, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities, conveying complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and Arabic (both written and verbal).
