Security Engineer

Overview: We are actively seeking a skilled and experienced Security Engineer to join our team in Amman, Jordan. The ideal candidate should possess a robust background in cybersecurity, network security, and information security management. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design and implement robust security solutions are crucial. Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal, is required.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards to safeguard the organization's information systems and data from cybersecurity threats.
Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and formulate strategies for mitigating risks.
Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to detect and respond to security incidents promptly.
Design and deploy security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols, to secure the organization's network infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and operations, to integrate security best practices into the development and deployment of new systems and applications.
Provide guidance and training to employees on security awareness, best practices, and compliance with security policies and regulations.
Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and trends, and recommend proactive measures to enhance the organization's security posture.
Prepare and maintain documentation related to security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM are preferred.
Proven experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security management, with a focus on protecting enterprise-level systems and data.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, technologies, and regulations, including ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM solutions, and vulnerability scanners.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate security concepts and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong commitment to confidentiality and integrity.
Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
