Compliance Specialist

Overview: We are currently in search of a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Specialist to join our team in Amman, Jordan. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, developing compliance programs, and fostering a culture of ethical business practices. Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes are essential. Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal, is required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and manage the organization's compliance programs to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  2. Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments to identify potential areas of risk and non-compliance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  3. Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations, and assess their impact on the organization's operations, providing guidance to relevant stakeholders.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance requirements into business processes, products, and services.
  5. Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance policies, procedures, and ethical conduct.
  6. Investigate and respond to reports of potential compliance violations, ensuring thorough and objective assessments.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of compliance activities, reports, and corrective actions.
  8. Prepare and deliver regular reports to senior management on compliance status, potential risks, and recommended actions for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or related field; relevant certifications in compliance preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Compliance Specialist or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
